  • Mazal tov to Rabbi Aaron and Rabbanit Pearl Borow on an abundance of s’machot: the birth of a great-grandson to Hadar and Yair Moshe, grandson of Yedida and Ephraim Borow and Nurit and Isaac Moshe, all of Neve Tsuf; the marriage of great-grandson Ezra Chaim Zimmerman, son of Rabbi Zvi and Rachel, grandson of Joe and Becky Zimmerman and Miriam Levy, all of Chicago; and the bar mitzvah of great-grandson Roie Borow, son of Moshe and Reut Borow of Sderot, grandson of Rabbi Yaakov and Malke Borow of Nof Ayalon.
  • Mazal tov to Shachar and Aaron Kalman on the birth of a baby girl, and also to grandparents Jonathan and Amy Kalman, and to great-grandparents Dorothy and Albert Gellman.

ברוך דיין האמת – אביה של לימור רודגולד-חי

בצער רב, אנו מודיעים על פטירת

יחזקאל (בן ששון ובת-שבע) חי ז"ל

אביה של חברתנו, לימור רודגולג-חי.

ההלוויה התקיימה ביום חמישי, באשדוד.

לימור יושבת שבעה עם אחיה ואימה עד יום שלישי בערב,
ברחוב שמואל הנביא 36, דירה 16, באשדוד.

הַמָּקוֹם יְנַחֵם אֶת לימור בְּתוֹךְ שְׁאַר אֲבֵלֵי צִיּוֹן וִירוּשָׁלַיִם.

 

We regret to inform you of the passing of

Yehezkel Ben Sasson and Bat Sheva) Hai, z"l 

the father of our dear member Limor Rodgold-Hai.

The funeral took place on Thursday in Ashdod.

Limor is sitting shiva with her siblings and mother through Tuesday evening at
36 Shmuel Hanavi Street, apartment 16, in Ashdod.

May Limor be comforted among the mourners for Zion and Jerusalem.

שבתון קהילה בירוחם – 6-7/3/2026

את שבתון הקהילה נעשה השנה, אי"ה, בשישי-שבת 'כי תשא', 7-6 במרץ, בעיירה ירוחם שבצפון הנגב.

ביום שישי, נטייל קלות ונשקיף על המכתש הגדול, הר אבנון, אגם ירוחם, באר הגר ועוד.

לאחר כל זאת, נבלה שבת נינוחה יחד במלון היפה 'אירוס המדבר' שבירוחם – נהנה מארוחות שבת, משיעורים מעניינים, מתפילות מעוררות השראה, מטיול בעיירה אחר-הצהריים, ובעיקר מלהיות ביחד.

מחיר השבתון ("הכל כלול") הוא 2,200 ₪ לזוג או 1,100 ₪ ליחיד. אבקש להעביר את התשלום עבור השבתון לא יאוחר מיום ראשון 25/1/2026, על-מנת לשמור את החדרים במלון. את מגוון דרכי ביצוע התשלום תמצאו בעמוד התשלומים שבאתר בית הכנסת כאן.

Kehilla Shabbaton in Yeruham – March 6-7, 2026

This year’s Kehilla Shabbaton will be on Friday-Shabbat Ki Tisa, March 6-7, in the town of Yeruham, in the Northern Negev.

Our drive south on Friday will be peppered with stops and short walks affording us stunning views of the Makhtesh Gadol, Mount Avnon, Yeruham Lake, Be’er Hagar and more.

After Friday’s sightseeing, we’ll spend a relaxing Shabbat together in the attractive Desert Iris Hotel, where we’ll enjoy Shabbat meals, interesting classes, inspiring tefillot, a Shabbat afternoon shpatzir, and particularly our time together.

The price of the Shabbaton (“all included”) is 2,200 NIS for a couple, or 1,100 NIS for single accommodation. I request you make payment by Sunday, January 25th, so as to secure the rooms in the hotel.   • As winter settles in, flu season is upon us.  Since we are blessed with many elderly members we ask everyone’s help to keep our shul a healthy place. If you feel ill, are coughing, or think you may be contagious, the Rav encourages you to stay home and rest. If in doubt, please stay home. If you are at shul and coughing, please put on a mask –available at shul. if you take one, please replace a fresh one when able. With a little consideration, we can daven together in good health.
