In Hono(u)r of Yom Yerushalayim
On shabbat afternoon at 6:55pm, we will celebrate our annual Yom Yerushalayim seuda shlishit, with a talk by Professor Uriel Bachrach, who served in the Haganah and later helped created ZAHAL's Scientific Corps.
Afterwards, there will be a festive ma'ariv.
Two Psalms concerning Jerusalem: Psalm 122 — “A Song of Ascents by David. I was happy when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ ” and Psalm 48— “The Lord is great and worthy of much praise in the city of our God, at His holy mountain.”
Four stanzas from Lecha Dodi that speak of Jerusalem: Mikdash Melech; Hitoreri; Lo Tevoshi; and Yamin U-semol. (See page 315 of the Koren Chumash, but add Mikdash Melech.)
Following Ma’ariv: After Vi-hi No’am and Ve-ata Kadosh, we will continue with the same tefillot said on Yom haAtzma’ut to be found on page 315 of the Koren Chumash.
