חברים יקרים,
לאחר שבע שנים, אסיים את תפקידי כמנהל אתר בית הכנסת מיד אחרי פורים. היה בשבילי פרויקט חשוב ומהנה והרבה עזרו לי, במיוחד דניאל להמן, דוד ודלר, ושמעון קהן. נהנתי לעדכן אתכם וגם להתחבר עם קהילתנו המתפתחת של אנשים מיוחדים.
התפקיד דורש שיתוף פעולה של קבוצה קטנה, כדי שיהיה גיבוי אם מישהו אינו נגיש, וגם לחלק את העבודה. (אני לא בצעתי אישית את כל התפקידים למטה.) חלק מהתפקידים דורש כישורים טכניים, אבל אפשר לעזור גם בלי להיות מומחה במחשבים. מגייסים כעת את הצוות כי נצטרך זמן לארגון וחפיפה.
תפקידים:
- מנהל / רכז
- אסיפת מידע: הודעות, מזל-טובים, זמנים, גבאים, שיעורים, הודעות אבל, וכו׳.
- תרגום פּוֹסטים: לפעמים לאנגלית, לפעמים לעברית.
- מנהל האתר – תפקיד טכני – עדכון האתר (ווֹרדפְּרֶס) וּשליחת מֵיילים.
- אחזקת רשימת התפוצה ומאגר המידע של החברים.
- איש קשר לענות לדוא״ל חדש ל-info@yael.org.il, לאסוף הודעות ולענות לשאלות.
מיומנויות:
- רצון לעזור וקצת זמן פנוי.
- עברית ו/או אנגלית.
- יכולת טכנית דרושה לחלק הטכני של עריכת האתר ודוא״ל — תלמד/י וורדפְּרֶס.
- סבלנות ועור עווה — כולנו מתנדבים בבית הכנסת — שגיאות תעשׂינה ותקבלו תלונות, חלק מוצדקות, חלק פחות.

Help Wanted
Dear Yael members,
After a 7-year stint, I am retiring as Yael webmaster right after Purim. It's been a fun and important project for me and many people have helped, especially Daniel Lehmann, Dovid Wadler, and Howie Kahn. I've enjoyed keeping you up to date and connecting with our evolving community of remarkable individuals.
The overall project requires the coordination of a small team, both for backup and to break up the work. (I have not personally filled all the roles below.) Only part of it requires technical skills, so you can contribute without being computer savvy. We are recruiting the team now because we will need time for training and the transition.
Roles:
- Manager / coordinator
- Gathering information: announcements, mazal tovs, times, gabbaim, classes, death notices, etc.
- Translation of short posts: Hebrew to English and vice versa
- Webmaster: updating our WordPress website and sending out emails [technical]
- Maintain the mailing list and member database
- info@yael.org.il: new email contact – someone to receive announcements and to answer questions that arise
Skills:
- Desire to help out and a little time
- Good Hebrew and/or English
- Computer skills are a requirement for website and email — you will learn basic WordPress
- Patience / thick skin — we are all volunteers here — you will make mistakes and receive complaints, some fair, some less so
