  • תהילים: בבית המדרש הקטן בשעה 16:00 בדיוק יתקיימו לימוד ואמירת תהילים לנשים בבית המדרש. פֶּרל בּוֹרוֹ וּזהבה פישר ידברו ולאחר מכן אמירת תהילים לחזרתם בשלום של חיילינו, הפצועים והשבויים. חשוב: אנא הביאנה עמכן ספר תהילים.
  • הרחבת הוראות פיקוד העורף: נא עיינו בעדכונים ביטחוניים פה.
  • דיור עבור בנות שירות לאומי: נא ראו הודעה חשובה פה.
  • ביטחון: בשבתות יהיו חברים חמושים בכל התפילות. כל חבר הנושא נשק ברישיון מתבקש להגיע עם נשק לבית הכנסת. בבקשה אנא הימנעו מהתקהלות בחצר הקדמית.
  • בקשה לשמירה על בריאות הציבור: מתפללים ומתפללות שנמצאו חיוביים לקורונה מתבקשים לא להגיע לבית הכנסת. אלה שיש להם סימפטומים כגון שיעול מתבקשים לחבוש מסכות.
  • ראו עמוד זמני תפילה: הדלקת נרות שבת: 16:01; הבדלה: 17:15.

Announcements

  • Rav Vilk’s shiurim will take place this Shabbat.
  • Women’s Tehillim and learning will continue this Shabbat in the small Beit Hamidrash at 4:00pm sharp. Pearl Borow and Zehava Fisher will speak, followed by the recitation of tehillim for the safe return of our soldiers, the captives, and all who have been injured. Please bring a Sefer Tehillim with you.
  • Security: On Shabbat there will be armed members at all services. In addition, members licensed to carry a weapon are asked to come armed to Beit Knesset. Please do not gather in the front courtyard.
  • Housing women serving in the National Service: please see the important announcement here.
  • COVID: to protect the health of the community those who have tested positive for COVID are asked to not attend beit knesset. Those with symptoms such as a cough are asked to wear a mask.
  • Visit our Times page. Shabbat candle lighting: 4:01pm; Havdalah: 5:15pm.

בת דודה של חברתנו ידידה לוּבין רוזנשיין

רוז הייתה חיילת בודדה בת 20 אשר עלתה ארצה מאטלנטה ושירתה במג״ב בעיר העתיקה (סיפור וידאו קצר עליה פה)

ההלוויה תתקיים ביום ה', 9/11/23 כ״ה מרחשון בשעה 10:00
בהר הרצל, חלקה המשטרתית, ירושלים

המשפחה תשב שבעה במאהל ברחוב המלך דוד 16
קבלת מנחמים: 10:00 – 13:00, 15:00 – 22:00

מתרגשת משפחתָה של רוֹז מהאהדה ואהבה מסביב לעולם. כל כך הרבה אנשים הביעו עניין וּנכונות לעזור בשבעה. אם אינכם יכולים להגיע לשבעה יש שתי דרכים אחרות לעזור.

In great sadness we inform you of the murder
in Monday's Old City attack of

Rose Ida Lubin ז״ל

cousin of our member Yedida Lubin Rosenschein

Rose was a 20-year-old lone-soldier from Atlanta who made aliyah two years ago and joined the Border Police in the Old City (story / short video here)

The funeral will take place Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10:00am
in the Police Section of Har Herzl. Attending the funeral of a lone soldier could be a source of comfort to the family.

The family will observe shiva in a tent at
16 King David Street
Visiting hours: 10am – 1pm, 3pm – 10pm

Shacharit 8:00am, Mincha/Ma’ariv 4:15pm

Rose’s family is touched by the outpouring of sympathy from around the world. So many people have expressed an interest and willingness to help with the shiva. If you cannot be at the shiva, you can help in other ways.

1. No need to worry about food. Fattal Hotels is taking care of it.

2. Donate in Rose’s memory to any of these worthy causes that were close to her heart:

יום השלושים לאירוע שמחת תורה ולמלחמה

יום א' הקרוב, כ״א במרחשוון, הוא יום השלושים לאירועי שמחת תורה ופתיחת המלחמה.

בשחרית שביום ראשון בשני המניינים נֹאמר ״א-ל מלא רחמים״ לזכר הנרצחים והנופלים, נאמר תפילה לחיילי צה"ל והתפילה לשלום השבויים והחטופים. בתהילים בסוף התפילה נוסיף שיר המעלות ממעמקים. כל הקהילה מוזמן לבוא לתפילות בשעה 6.00 ובשעה 6.45.

This Sunday marks the shloshim since the events of Simḥat Torah and the beginning of the war. On Sunday at Shaḥarit of both minyanim we will recite “El Maleh Rachamim” for the murdered and the fallen, prayers for the armed forces and for those seized and kidnapped in Gaza. We will add to the Tehillim at the end of shaḥarit. All are invited to attend either at 6:00am or at 7:45am.
