    • Mazal tov to Lilly and Irv Cantor on the marriage of their daughter Shaena to Ari Abramowitz, son of Michael and Susan Abramowitz, of Jerusalem. Ari will give the Dvar Torah on shabbat. The family invites the entire kehillah to kiddush in honor of the newlyweds.

    • Rosh HaShanah services will take place as scheduled at Rabbi Shlomo Vilk's house. For Yom Kippur, however, we have arranged to daven at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) at the corner of 60 Derekh Hevron and 4 Esther HaMalka (map).

    • Good news: our kehillah raised ₪14,000, to be transferred immediately to the welfare bureaus of Gonen, Bak'a and Gilo for distribution of ₪200-300 per family in need — a small ray of light for the upcoming holidays and New Year. Please keep giving! We want to raise another ₪5,000 for the battered women's shelter for distribution to their 32 families.
