  • This week we put up a new mezuzah for our new exit (see picture above). Thanks again to Steven Drucker and Menahem Zer Kavod.
  • As we do each year, we have hung a special parochet on the Aron Kodesh for the period of the Three Weeks. As far as we know, the parochet was brought here from Germany after World War II by one of the early leaders of our shul, Avraham Seligman, z"l. The inscription on the parochet reads: "A gift of the Mosbach community on the occasion of the rededication of the synagogue in the year of its renovation 5659" (1899). See history and picture here.

  • Personal note from Bob Rosenschein: Thank you for your warm words on my personal post yesterday, marking 36 years since Diane's and my aliyah and also the 613th post on the Yael website. Thanks, Zehava Zer Kavod and Avraham Benmelech, for the many Hebrew corrections. I've since discovered an interesting problem on the site. If you use the Google Chrome browser with Auto-Translating turned on, you may see a doubly translated-into-English page, and a poor translation at that. I've now disabled auto-translation on our pages, which should not be a problem, because there's hand-written Hebrew at the top and English at the bottom of most pages. Also, if you haven't watched the short video, click on it; it's the best part of the post!
